40" Action Flex makes our Japanese Sport Sword, the standard beginner's training sword for Historical Weapon and Sport Sword. The art and science of the sword has been among us for thousands of years. Yet, there was no way to easily train, fight and compete without pain, suffering and sometimes death. Wood, metal and bamboo swords offered the combatant a tedious and often dangerous way to study. Through the spirit of the samurai and advances in science and technology, ActionFlex™ full-contact swords are this millennium's answer in the "Ultimate Game of Physical Chess". Originally designed by Japanese swordsmen to polish their speed, rhythm and timing at an unbelievable fast rate, now you can hone your sword fighting and fencing strategies at full speed.

Action Flex products are all based on the same mechanical principle. Different lengths and dimensions of specific materials are used to achieve optimal results with each instrument.

Each material was selected basted on its individual characteristics for durability and safety. Together they synergistically contribute to a superior, unique design in the market place of full-contact sports equipment.

The essence of the design is based on a unique piston principle, produced by using different lengths and diameters of nylon bushing stock and polyethylene, providing superior flex-action necessary to each product item. Proper weighting and casting characteristics are achieved by using these materials in these specific lengths and diameters. Nylon bushing stock is assembled in a piston style process without glue or adhesives using a unique double-pinning process.

Line Item Nylon bushing stock strength tests is carried out in a standard laboratory atmosphere. Tensile strength is at 11,600 psi. Flexural strength is at 15,700 psi. Impact strength is 2.5 ft-lb./in. The mechanical properties of this high efficiency resilient bushing stock significantly reduce vibration and breakage and provide superior flexing abilities. Average OD and ID tolerance for nylon bushing stock are 0.40mm over and 0.40mm under. Nylon bushing stock is approved for food and drug applications.

Polyethylene is thick closed cell polyethylene foam cylinder and strips. Mechanical properties are soft yet provide superior flexing capabilities, which significantly reduce, impact injury, vibration and breakage. Polyethylene center elongated piston assembly offer stability and less friction during impact.

The reason isn't just the quality of the weapons... it's also the quality of the customer service. Any weapons which broke during the warranty period were quickly fixed and shipped back.

However, as hard as we tried, we couldn't find any problems with these swords. And we've tried just about everything out there. Even our own hand made weapons.
